Jamie Guyn has worked in the fields of counseling and education for more than 30 years. Her experience runs from managing a successful private practice to teaching on the Navajo Reservation; from presenting corporate seminars for top level management and engineers in Silicon Valley to working with incarcerated women.
In Eugene, she has taught court mandated classes to parents involved with DHS, worked with the Transitions to Success Program at LCC, presented training for child care providers for Lane Family Connections, and home visits for new mothers for Birth To Three’s Healthy Start Program.
She combines her expertise in psychotherapy and group therapy with skills from teaching and corporate training to create a natural, humorous and informative style.
As the founder of Strong Families Eugene, Jamie is dedicated to improving relationships and strengthening bonds within families to create a stronger and healthier community.
She has a B.A. in Elementary Education, a M.S. in Counseling, and holds a Licensed Professional Counselor Credential in Oregon. She has been married since 1980 and she and her husband are the parents of two handsome and delightful ex-teenage sons.
